A night in the Swan’s Lake. San Isidro 2007
During the San Isidro Holidays 2007, Magán y Molina Asociados with Alerto Gestión Cultural created EferveScene, a global cultural Management Project that had the idea of producing a classic ballet performance in Madrid, “A Night in the Swan’s Lake” at the pond of the Buen Retiro Gardens. Our objective was to bring this exquisite artistic discipline closer the general public.
The representation took place on the 13th of May and it was preceded by a general rehearsal, open to the public on the 12th of May. On both occasions, the entrance was free and the public response was massive. 15.000 people came to the Retiro to enjoy the rehearsal and the official representation was attended by more than 25.000.
On a 400m2 stage, Tamara Rojo and Carlos Acosta, first dancers of the Covent Garden Royal Ballet in London and of the Opera Ballet Company of Lithuania, represented an adaptation of the second and third acts of the popular work of Russian composer Tchaikovski, under the artistic direction of Cuban dancer Loipa Araujo. Undoubtedly, it was a grand cultural event of high quality and artistic level, held in an important and significant urban space.
